In order for leaders to be successful in our increasingly volatile, complex, uncertain and ambiguous environment, a new leadership paradigm is required. Adopt an integrated approach to leadership by:
- Preparing to lead: Avoid our inherent bias to action by pausing, planning, and continually learning.
- Create space for others to lead: Allow others to step forward into the leadership role as appropriate and create connections among networks to combine experience.
It is clear that a new approach to leadership is required.
