What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I appreciate the automation rules, which reduce manual steps like transitioning issues after PR merges or notifying the right stakeholders. It streamlines communication and lets developers stay focused on shipping code.
What do you dislike most about this product?
What I find most challenging about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and heavy, especially for smaller teams or fast moving projects. Setting up workflows, permissions, or custom fields often requires a lot of configurations and if not well managed, it can slow teams down instead of helping them move faster.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend starting with a clear understanding of your team’s workflow before configuring Jira. It is a very powerful tool, but it can become overwhelming if you try to use everything at once. Start simple, and scale your setup gradually, adding custom fields, statuses, or automation rules only as real needs arise.
