Optimize People Leadership in the Hybrid Work Environment
Provide people leaders with the necessary tools to successfully lead.
Hybrid work comes with unique challenges around maintaining social connections, communicating effectively, and ensuring the inclusion of all employees. People leaders can overcome these challenges, but effective people leadership in a hybrid environment looks different than it does onsite. People leadership behaviors and practices must change if hybrid work is to be successful.
Remote work and onsite work provide two different employee experiences. Hybrid work is more than just a blend of the two and requires thoughtful and purposeful people leadership supported by HR to create a cohesive and inclusive employee experience.
Impact & Result
Build a resource toolkit for people leaders to support them in shifting their behavior and practices in a way that is conducive to hybrid work, mitigates challenges, exemplifies cultural values, and drives results. Provide resources that help people leaders lead effectively, promote teamwork, and foster connection in a hybrid environment. Identify pain points of hybrid work that people leaders can impact, and tailor the resources to address those needs. Continually monitor the success of the toolkit and of hybrid work in general. Iterate and adjust as required to successfully enable hybrid work.
Research & Tools
1. Identify current paint points
Gather data to identify current people
leadership pain points and assess the current state, analyze existing survey
data and collect additional feedback to assess pain points, and set goals and
metrics to assess the effectiveness of the hybrid work toolkit for people
leaders.
Prepare to address pain points by selecting
relevant resources for people leaders, and create a customized toolkit to
support people leaders in a hybrid work environment.
Determine the logistics of the toolkit launch,
communicate and share resources with people leaders, monitor metrics to
determine if the resources are successfully enabling hybrid work, and use
gathered metrics and feedback to iterate and address challenges.
