What do you dislike most about this product?

What I dislike most about Sisense is its steeper learning curve and complexity in setup/administration, especially when compared to more user-friendly BI tools. Managing Elasticube and customizations can require significant technical expertise.

I’d recommend clearly assessing whether you need embedded analytics and customization, as that’s where Sisense shines. Make sure you have the right technical resources to manage setup, data modeling, and ongoing administration. Also, request a trial or proof of concept to test performance on your real data volume before committing.

What differentiates Sisense from other similar products?

We have used Sisense from the beginning as a primary tool for self-service BI. Sisense makes each user explore the entire project on their own, making them keep the entire core data team up to date. KPI alerts and HOC visualization are also included with Sisense as they can be run as an add-on in the web application.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Sisense has one of the best customer services in the market, every bug we had was resolved in less than 12 hours. Its backend architecture is very solid under a very high performance platform. It has a very small learning curve and the user interface is quite intuitive so any non-technical user can use Sisense without any inconvenience.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes the management logic of Sisense becomes obsolete, we need new updates to remove the limitations with languages and something to increase the compilation of failures to know where we are stuck. It is necessary to increase the portability of cubes since the minimum is 3 at the time and that limits everything, even if you have a high quality server and speed this is still limited to 3.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Sisense is recommended as the best solution to the BI architecture on the Big Data platform we have for data collection. We do not require any supervision to understand all the database we have. Sisense is perfect for companies that also do not have Big Data as no additional staff is required to handle this.
