What differentiates Jama Connect from other similar products?

Jama is a bit leaner and less bloaty than many competitors. It has a great ability to cascade down requirements and trace back and forth between different entities. Defect and reports galore. It can fit into large scale projects as well as smaller efforts.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Traceability is key and Jama provides some intelligence and foresight in handling where you are going and where you have been.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some external tool integration and APIs can be limiting. Especially coming from wanting to implement an ALM along with software test automation. As of this writing, things change but it behooves everyone to address your needs first for integration with other tools before jumping on board.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend to look your: - Paperless vs electronic need especially in validated industries - Disseminate and note any external needs like ALM integration or Dev/Ops integration - Understand what the application does now and not possibly in the future - Make a sound decision based on your current and future needs.
