What differentiates Amplitude Analytics from other similar products?

Amplitude is waay better than google analytics cause, it tells you what users actually do in the app and not where they came from. It’s the best because it lets you see individual user paths and identify exactly where they get stuck or drop off. Versus mixpanel i think it is a bit more intuitive once you start to sort out the taxonomy. It’s a great tool for our product team in understanding how valuable each of the features we release are.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's super strong that you can make cohorts of users who did specific things and then see how their retention compares to average. The funnel analysis is super powerful and i can see conversion rates in real time which has been a big step up from my old manual spreadsheets. Dashboard are clear and can easily be shared with the rest of the company do everybody knows how we're performing against our kpis. It works really well and the data is never far behind.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The original implementation is a bit of a pain because you'll definitely run into trouble if you don't get all your event names naming precisely right. If you screwed up naming convention in the beginning, it becomes very complex to clean dat later.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are serious about building your product and understanding your users you definitely need to get this tool. It gives you the sort of deep intelligence that you just won't get from their vanilla web tracking packages. But just be aware that you need to consider your data structure before you start flooding events.

Amplitude captures every user action as an event such as feature clicks form submissions or conversion steps. This reveals which paths users are taking and where they drop out making analytics actionable for cloud based products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Cloud architects perspective amplitudes distributed analytics engine processes log data in real time without heavy pipelines. You can create complex queries directly from the ui or api.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Making amplitude truly insightful depends on event taxonomy design. If the schema is unclear data reports can be confusing. Planning time needs to be invested in the setup phase.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Accurately measuring user flows retention patterns and predictive insights is very efficient especially for large user bases. If you focus on cloud native products user engagement optimization retention analysis.
