Terms and Conditions of Attendance and Participation in McLean & Company Event
These are the terms (the "Agreement") that govern your attendance at and/or participation in McLean & Company hosted events, training, and workshops, including but not limited to Signature conference, Management Fundamentals, and/or Elevate HR (the "Event"). By registering for the Event you are agreeing to these terms, which form a legal contract between McLean & Company, a division of Info-Tech Research Group Inc., ("McLean & Company"), and the registered attendee and/or participant ("you"). If you are registering on behalf of another it is your responsibility to ensure that the person attending is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.
1. Event admission
1.1. Admittance. Your registration entitles you to admittance to the Event. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance (including without limitation any travel and/or accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by you and McLean & Company shall not have liability for such costs.
1.2. Media. By attending the Event you grant McLean & Company permission to record, film, photograph or capture yourself and your property during the Event to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to McLean & Company includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use and/or disseminate the media.
1.3. Event Content. You acknowledge and agree that McLean & Company, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, hosts, and moderators.
1.4. Use of Information. By registering to attend the Event you grant McLean & Company permission to sell your contact information with third-party sponsors. You further agree to McLean & Company using your contact information to contact you for event purposes and to being contacted by Info-Tech Research Group and affiliates for other related promotional, sales, and marketing purposes.
2. Fee(s)
2.1. Payment. The payment of the applicable fee(s) for the Event is due upon registration. If such payment is insufficient or declined for any reason McLean & Company may refuse to admit you to the Event and shall have no liability in that regard.
2.2. Taxes. The fee(s) may be subject sales tax, value added tax, or any other taxes and duties which, if applicable, will be charged to you in addition to the fee(s).
3. Substitution and cancellation policy
3.1. Once your registration for the Event has been confirmed in verbal or written form, you will not be eligible for a refund of the ticket purchase.
3.2. Tickets are deferrable or transferable upon McLean & Company approval. You may defer your attendance to another McLean & Company event of equal value or send someone to attend in your place, if approved by a McLean & Company representative.
4. Indemnity and limitation of liability
Neither party, any co-sponsor, venue provider nor any of their respective officers, agents, employees, facilities, representatives, or assigns shall be liable any claims for damage, loss, harm, or injury to the person, property, or business of either party and/or any of its visitors, officers, agents, employees, or other representatives, resulting from theft, fire, earthquake, water, unavailability of the facility, accident, or any other reason in connection with the display at the Event. Each party shall indemnify, defend, and protect the other and any co-sponsor and venue provider as harmless from any and all third-party claims, demands, suits, liability, damages, losses, costs, attorney’s fees, and expenses which might result or arise from death or damage to physical property during the Event. Under no circumstance will either party, any co-sponsor, or the venue provider be liable for lost profits or other incidental or consequential damages for any of their acts or omissions whatsoever whether or not appraised of the possibility or likelihood of such damages or lost profits. In no event shall either party’s liability, under any circumstance, exceed the amount actually paid to it by you. McLean & Company makes no representations or warranties regarding the number of persons who will attend the Event.
5. Health and safety
McLean & Company will follow all COVID-19 protocols applicable to gatherings of this type that are in effect at the time of the conference in accordance with public health recommendations and Government of Ontario requirements. See https://covid-19.ontario.ca/.
