Tableau is a great data-visualization tool

What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?

Since no one has ever been fired for proposing Tableau, I think it's safe to assume that it meets all of your analytics requirements, works with your preferred database(s), and is a safe bet. It is challenging to create an analytics system from scratch. While there are decent libraries available for displaying analytical data, using a graphical user interface to explore the data and construct the visualization is a far more efficient approach to producing high-quality analytics.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Helpful for making reports, dashboards, and narratives with the use of graphical representations of data. In addition, the dashboards and workbooks you make may be shared both internally and outside. Tableau's built-in connection options make it easy to connect to a wide variety of databases and data warehouse technologies, including the ones we use—Redshift and Athena—to create visual representations of data and charts for daily use in our firm.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Tableau is still difficult to learn and difficult to connect to other programs. While we appreciate Tableau's improved security in recent releases, we found it to be exceedingly challenging to integrate with other solutions. In addition, an ETL solution is needed to convert the database into a common ODBC-compliant format that Tableau can understand while working in a data lake.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The system can process massive amounts of information. The abundance of data can be reduced by creating a filter at the source level. In this way, information from several sources may be compiled into one convenient location.
