Analytics with Tableau
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?
Tableau is extremely customizable. From an admin perspective, if you get creative, you can accomplish pretty much anything. However, with that comes supporting the custom solution, so keep that in mind. Another great feature is its app for mobile. End users love accessing data on the go.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Something that is often overlooked is the community behind Tableau. Their customer forum is full of supportive users. Ask a question, and someone will over their ideas on a solution the same day. Alongside that is their customer support, documentation, and training offerings.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There is 100% a steep learning curve. If you are not a dedicated admin, expect to constantly be on the customer forum, or googling how to do something. The administrative side is not very intuitive, but is feature-packed to accomplish what you need.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try before you buy! Make sure to weigh the pros and cons between administering the solution and it accomplishing what you're looking to build.
Pros
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
- Efficient Service
- Generous Negotitation

The user friendly interface as well as ease to understand the various features makes tableau stand out from crowd. Options to automate the refresh of data sources and flexibility to work on wide range of datasets from various datasources are most advantageous.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The mobile version of the tool to access the dashboards whenever or wherever you want to, which privileges the users to flexibility of making any necessary changes whenever needed. Also voids range of pre-suggestive templates as well as dashboard designs saved a lot of time.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes expertise knowledge is needed to execute few in-depth features on the datasets which could be time consuming for beginners.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend tableau over any other data visualisation tool as you can trust your data with tableau for their advanced security features as well as the wide range of suggestions template are difficult to get in other tools.
