All-in-One Most Efficient Platform

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Rippling IT from other similar products?

What stood out to me, compared to other IT management tools, is that Rippling doesn't treat HR and IT as two separate systems. When someone joins or leaves the company, things like software access, permissions, and employee records are all connected, which saves a lot of back and forth between teams. I also like that we don't have to jump between multiple platforms just to handle onboarding or access changes. It feels more practical for day-to-day operations because everything is tied to the employee lifecycle instead of being managed in silos.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favourite aspect of Rippling IT is how much time it saves on routine administrative work. Something as simple as onboarding a new employee used to involve multiple steps across different tools. Now, most of that can be handled from one place. I particularly like that software access and employee information stay in sync, so there is less room for mistakes when people join, change roles, or leave the company. It's one of those tools that quietly makes day-to-day operations easier without requiring a lot of manual effort.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The biggest downside for me is that some of the more advanced settings take time to understand when you're setting things up for the first time. Rippling IT is powerful, but because it covers so many areas, it can feel a little overwhelming if you're trying to customize workflows or permissions without prior experience. It's not something that affects day to day use once everything is configured, but there is definitely a learning curve during the initial setup.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're considering Rippling IT, I'd recommend spending some time mapping out your onboarding and access management processes before you implement it. You'll get the most value out of the platform if you take advantage of its automation capabilities rather than using it only for basic IT administration. It's also worth involving both your HR and IT teams early on because many of the workflows work best when they're connected. There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but investing the time upfront makes day to day management much easier in the long run.

Streamlined IT Management with Powerful Automation

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Rippling IT from other similar products?

It is different because it combines different different departments of a company in 1 platform such as HR, Payroll and IT operations because some platforms require different tools for those separate departments. With rippling IT it makes it easier for companies to automate onboarding and offboarding processes from one place. This results in improved efficiency, reduced manual work, stronger security and smooth experience for both the IT department and the employees.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Rippling IT is how it makes managing employees' devices and software access easy. It automates tasks like setting up new employees and removing access when someone leaves, which saves time, reduces mistakes and helps keep the company secure.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have not come across something that I dislike about the software because it is easy to use and easy to learn a person just needs to understand English and all is well.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend Rippling IT to any company that wants an easier way to manage employee devices and software access. Take some time to set it up correctly and learn the main features, as this will help you save time, reduce manual work and get the most value from the platform.

Nice UX and Great Potential

Likeliness to Recommend

7 /10

What differentiates Rippling IT from other similar products?

With Rippling IT, you have an MDM solution that is tied directly with your HRIS and IdP, all under the same umbrella as opposed to piecing together different systems. That can be a powerful differentiator if the features cover all of your bases. Having Rippling IT can free up a great deal of bandwidth for your IT team, allowing them to automate many IT Ops tasks and focus on pushing other meaningful efforts forward.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I appreciating being able to seamlessly integrate my HRIS and IdP features into the IT lifecycle, as this normally requires bespoke integrations that can become tedious to maintain which just adds a layer of work. With IT/MDM being an add-on that can integrate out-of-the-box, that makes it quicker to get up and running for our needs.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The trade-off that often comes with having all of these various products under one company is that they may not have as many of the deeper features. For a specific example, we need our users to be able to self-elevate local admin permissions, and have IT be able to customize the configuration for this. Unfortunately, the current capabilities of this feature in Rippling IT is limited to a small set of options that aren't quite where other systems are.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Triple check that Ripping IT offers as much parity to your current MDM needs and/or solution, and ask about their feature roadmap to see if it aligns with your future IT goals. If it suits what you need now, great! Just make sure that their future roadmap is moving in a similar direction.
