Excellent services and products

Likeliness to Recommend

What differentiates Oracle Analytics Cloud from other similar products?

Its in-memory processing engine is beastly with datasets of over 100M rows (in Tableau, those volumes require extracts). Native integration with Oracle Autonomous Database speeds up ETLs by 40% compared to third-party solutions. However, the UX/UI is less user-friendly – our business users miss the drag-and-drop simplicity of Power BI

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Embedded Oracle Machine Learning (OML). Without leaving the platform, our finance team developed predictive models for sales forecasts. They also developed granular access control (down to the row level), critical for GDPR compliance in Europe. But beware: performance in Safari browsers is inconsistent—it sometimes freezes on M1 MacBooks

What do you dislike most about this product?

The technical documentation is a maze. Figuring out how to configure a SAP HANA connector took us two days (and we ended up having to open a SR). Another pain: there's no support for Python 3.9+ in the notebooks, which forces inelegant workarounds. And the cost of ad-hoc cloud queries skyrockets if you don't monitor credits

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you already use Oracle ERP or HCM, the integration is worth the investment. But negotiate prepaid credits with Oracle – pay-as-you-go can break your budget. For technical teams, get trained in Data Flows (the equivalent of Power Query) before migrating. And run a POC with real data: in our case, the Manufacturing dashboards didn't render well until we optimized the semantic models

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Enables Productivity
  • Trustworthy

What differentiates Oracle Analytics Cloud from other similar products?

OAC integrates deeply with Oracle’s broad suite of enterprise applications (ERP, HCM, CX) and databases, providing a unified analytics experience for organizations already invested in Oracle technologies. OAC combines data preparation, visualization, reporting, augmented analytics (AI/ML), and enterprise reporting within a single cloud platform, reducing the need for multiple disconnected tools.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Oracle Analytics Cloud is its seamless integration with Oracle’s enterprise ecosystem, which allows organizations to easily connect analytics with their core business applications and databases.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What I dislike most about Oracle Analytics Cloud is its steeper learning curve and somewhat complex user interface compared to some other modern BI tools.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your organization already uses Oracle databases or applications, OAC can integrate seamlessly, providing a big advantage. Plan to capitalize on these integrations to maximize value. Due to OAC’s complexity and depth, invest time and resources in training your team, especially for data modeling, preparation, and using augmented analytics features effectively.

Pros

  • Trustworthy
  • Effective Service
  • Inspires Innovation
  • Saves Time

Useful for advanced analytics

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Oracle Analytics Cloud from other similar products?

Distinguishes it and stands out from similar programs because of its seamless integration with other Oracle tools, its ability to easily scale to handle large volumes of data, and its focus on data security to meet compliance standards. We chose this software because of its reputation in the industry and its ability to meet our specific business needs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like it because it allows us to analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources to make informed strategic decisions. We can also perform custom reporting, predictive analytics and interactive data visualizations to identify key trends and patterns in the marketplace.

What do you dislike most about this product?

As for what I don't like, I have experienced some performance issues occasionally when running complex queries.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Oracle Analytics Cloud is suitable for scenarios where advanced analytics and data security are required, but may be less appropriate in situations where a gentler learning curve is preferred for novice users.
