Provide quality throughout our DevOps pipelines

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

It's made a huge difference. It's a great tool for monitoring an application's life cycle. It is also possible to link it with DevOps technologies to provide dynamic testing to guarantee the caliber of builds. ALM Octane is the only tool that offers a very user-friendly and intuitive UI.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My clients were using ALM, its predecessor, and Octane was the best option because of the affordable conversion and technical ability to use an application solution built on an agile architecture. Now I'm also able to do so and their customer assistance is available 24/7 to assist their customer although it offers a good deal for the price, in my opinion.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Although their customer care is useful, providing comprehensive documentation is a fantastic alternative for initial configuration, customization, and deployment as there is enough information and helpful content there.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

ALM Octane is the best software that gives you the confidence to deliver the best application at the time of production. I like that anyone can keep an eye on the work and be able to complete the best and well-performed application in nearly less time than its rivals.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity

A tool for management and development

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?

The company uses ALM Octane for product planning, tracking, and support. Analysis and reporting are also done using it. Providing high-quality services throughout an application's life cycle is supported and encouraged. This program supports the user from product deployment through the point of problem resolution.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I appreciate the program's point of view on the Quality and Pipeline module. Thanks to it, we can keep track of our automation requirements, look back on earlier runs and problems that were fixed, and forecast future events. - Easy to use and friendly to the user. It aids customers in switching from waterfall to agile methodologies. Throughout an application's life cycle, suppliers give visibility and support.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It doesn't seem that the same choices are available to track status on the narrative user level as on the feature level. Therefore, monitoring progress on the iteration level would call for a minor adjustment. After the sprints, we need to be able to follow the status of the user stories. Hence we need the appropriate tools.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Encourage the administration of tests and thorough software development. Analyzing the requirements, test cases, and tractability matrix was beneficial. MicroFocus has given ALM Octane a lot of help in terms of adoption. When necessary, we have scheduled support meetings with SMEs from MicroFocus and received assistance from R&D.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity
