Allows better control on large, involved projects.
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates OpenText Software Delivery Management from other similar products?
Allows you to much better connect requirements to testing to defects to releases to delivery status. There are many options out there that do task tracking, but they fail to provide you with the bigger picture of what is going on in your software development lifecycle.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Love the traceability from requirements through test cases and defects. Allows our team to quickly see what was tested, what failed and what release was impacted without having to log into several different systems. Dashboards are great too, after you take the time to set them up for your project.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Setup was a little cumbersome and some screens seem dated/cluttered.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
This is probably best suited for larger corporations that have very involved development and testing processes. Some of the smaller teams I have worked with in the past may find it too cumbersome to use every day. If you are considering purchasing this for your organization, take the time to identify your integration needs, reporting needs and how much training will be required before implementing it across all projects.

This integrated approach, along with end-to-end visibility and flexibility, is a key differentiator. It also offers predictive analytics and insights, enterprise scalability, and a user-friendly interface.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Integrated Platform: OpenText SDM brings together various SDLC stages (planning, CI, test, release) into one solution, streamlining processes and improving collaboration. End-to-End Visibility: The platform provides comprehensive visibility across the entire software development lifecycle, allowing teams to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and ensure quality. Predictive Analytics and Insights: OpenText SDM leverages data analysis to provide insights into potential risks and opportunities, enabling proactive decision-making.
What do you dislike most about this product?
OpenText Software Delivery Management is often criticized for its complexity, which leads to a steep learning curve and can slow down implementation. Users also find the cost to be high, particularly for smaller organizations, and they sometimes struggle with the complexity of data loading and integration with third-party tools. Complexity and Learning Curve: The tool's wide range of features and intricate interface can be overwhelming for new users, requiring significant time for training and familiarization, according to SoftwareReviews.
