What differentiates Microsoft SharePoint from other similar products?
I don’t even consider sharepoint to be a tool anymore — it’s just where all of our work lives. Its so integrated into the microsoft world that it beats every other solution. It’s the best because it offers making similar experience across our laptop, tablet and phone. I know exactly where to look for my team’s files and our most up-to-date company news, whether i’m sitting at my desk or on the train.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The “frequently visited” sites on the home page is a simple yet effective feature that saves me time each day. I also enjoy using the “save for later” option on news articles; this at least allows me to bookmark compelling company updates so i can read it in more depth when appropriate. The entire platform feels incredibly stable and reliable, which is what matters most for a tool you depend on for your entire livelihood. It’s a solid product.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The “storage limits” are somewhat stingy on the most basic plans. Once you start moving a lot of video or high-res images, you need to start paying attention to your quota.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Sharepoint is also the most developed, full-blown and professional company data communication home you will find on the market.
Pros
- Efficient Service
- Inspires Innovation
- Saves Time
- Client Friendly Policies
