SharePoint can be edited in lots of different ways to implement your own branding and create a standard workplace intranet across an organisation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It would be good if the design tools were expanded to allow for more design changes. There are options, but there are a lot more tools that could be added to create more flexible designs.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Ensure that your workplace requires a SharePoint solution; if you are using Microsoft 365, then it will likely be helpful to integrate all workflows.
