What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
We don't have to be concerned about storing space on our local disk. SharePoint simplifies the storage and retrieval of data. Online tool for storing files with no space constraints. My teams must complete presentations and other papers. SharePoint allows team members to collaborate on the file and allows several people to modify it at the same time. We establish the working draft, and then all comments and modifications are directed to a single document.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Folder structure is simple to construct and utilize. It is quite simple to share a link to a file/folder in order to facilitate team participation. My firm may also use SharePoint to build secure collaboration folders for non-company colleagues to upload/download/edit files. We can upload N files without running out of storage space. Others can view this if you share the link with them. This allows people to view and edit data online without interfering with one another.
What do you dislike most about this product?
To attract a larger audience, the website's user experience and design may be upgraded. Access to check in and out has occasionally been an issue; this might be rectified. Moving and copying folders/files from a SharePoint folder might be difficult. Users may also open SharePoint folders with the normal Microsoft File Manager in an earlier version of SharePoint. This makes it much easier to move files and other items into and out of the SharePoint environment. This might possibly be due to the browser being used.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The greatest online platform for saving, accessing, and editing files. This is critical for big-scale enterprises dealing with massive amounts of data. SharePoint is more "professional" than Teams and offers a better overall environment for actual business collaboration, such as allowing many users to edit the same file at the same time.

Complex product to set up but otherwise good.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
The same thing most Microsoft products benefit from, the fact they function well with and go hand in hand with other Microsoft products. An example being our used of Azure AD meaning we already have groups and users populated, all that's needed now is permission levels developed.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to use PowerShell to automate, create and use in my day to day job.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The overly complex nature of creating and implementing the tool. It almost feels like they've decided to keep the same deployment structure as on-prem offerings when there is no need to, without experts you will struggle on this aspect.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Great for maturing companies which have a Microsoft stack, and great functionality with other tools once actually set up.
Pros
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
- Efficient Service
