What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
The flexibility provided by Sharepoint is simply amazing and unparalleled by other products developed by its competitors. People can work simultaneously, the changes are seen in real-time, and share documents with others with reading or read/write access, and most importantly provides the flexibility to revert to a previous version if required, with just a couple of clicks.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
There are many great things about Microsoft Sharepoint, but the best thing about it is that the Microsoft documents - Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, when opened by multiple people simultaneously, can be edited simultaneously as well. As a member of the Product team at ZS, my colleagues and I collaboratively edit the pitch decks and budget estimates on Powerpoint and Excel simultaneously, and this makes document management hassle-free since the updates by all are saved in real-time and are visible to all.
What do you dislike most about this product?
As a user, Microsoft Sharepoint has almost all the features one can desire. One of the features which I find missing is the lock for edit feature for a particular user at a particular time. If the document creator wishes, he should be able to lock the document even for those with edit access at a particular time, so that the document can be edited only by the creator. This is helpful especially when focus work is required where the interference of other editors would be undesirable.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend everyone to use Microsoft Sharepoint if Office 365 formats such as MS Word, MS Powerpoint, and MS Excel are used frequently. I had a great experience with Microsoft Sharepoint. Before using Sharepoint, I was not aware that even such a powerful collaboration tool exists in the first place. With the help of Sharepoint, I can store a large amount of data, share it with the required team members with Reading/Edit access as required, and work collaboratively with them in real-time to create or edit documents. Overall, it is the best collaborative working platform I have seen.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
It enables us to be more collaborative by centralizing all of our papers, making it easier for other staff to view and share modifications, for example. Microsoft SharePoint is used as a localized unit across numerous coworkers. It is beneficial to have long-term access to records, and older papers are easily accessible. Microsoft SharePoint allows us to centrally manage massive data files and collaborate on seeing and amending leadership changes. This helps us minimize email traffic and time spent searching inboxes for the most recent file iterations.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I enjoy how you can exchange papers with your team through SharePoint. If you know the file/folder name, you can easily access documents, and you can also search for items. Microsoft SharePoint is an excellent collaboration solution for teams that allows them to centrally exchange work materials. We frequently save massive financial information there for weekly prediction updates that are too large to transmit. My favorite feature is the "Verify" option, which prevents two persons from making changes at the same time. Permissions are also useful for determining who in your company has access to update or view your files.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I wish SharePoint was more user-friendly. I haven't spent much time with Microsoft programs as a MacBook user, but I need to utilize them now for a new work. It's difficult to understand how the collaboration function works. It's not like Google Docs/Slides, and it's difficult to see whether your updates are live or not. The uploading of a whole document feature works perfectly. Another limitation I've seen is storage when big teams contribute to the same SharePoint site. The easy answer we discovered was to build numerous pages. Everything else works perfectly for our team's requirements.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Be patient when using Microsoft SharePoint. It takes time to become acquainted with the system. I really suggest it, but make sure you teach the principal user.
