What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
Sharepoint has solved the integration issues we used to have because it was difficult and expensive to acquire a number of products to work with. We are migrating the great bulk of our old network storage to Sharepoint sites, which are most of the time produced automatically by our Microsoft Teams configuration. This enables easier access control management as well as improved search and storage capabilities. Using Sharepoint in combination with other Microsoft products, we were able to automate several manual spreadsheets, such as personnel tracking, onboarding, onboarding, internal requisitions, and the like.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Microsoft SharePoint offers a world-class capability for storing documents of all sorts on simple-to-manage sites. When combined with its list functionality and connectivity throughout the Microsoft product ecosystem, it is helpful in assisting big enterprises in segmenting their access regulations and restrictions. Tagging, visitor access, search features, team and business sites all promote Sharepoint engagement. My second favorite feature of Sharepoint is the drag & drop capabilities, which I utilized often whenever I needed to upload an image or document from my device storage, and which also allows me to work swiftly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sharepoint cannot handle huge projects with many tasks, and managing a large amount of information through your SharePoint task list is quite tough. When dealing with a large amount of information, SharePoint becomes difficult; having an administrator who knows the complexity involved in effective user and document management to minimize sprawl and unauthorized access is critical to successful product implementation.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I recommend that anyone contemplating this product also consider user training because using the customizing option can be difficult.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
We also took Dropbox into account. The Dropbox user interface is disorganised and quite busy. In contrast to SharePoint, it does not provide an office suite. The built-in video player on SharePoint is excellent and offers superior playing controls to the video player on Dropbox. The Office 365 apps that connect with SharePoint smoothly. For new users, Dropbox might be a challenging task. Dropbox certainly lacks several functionalities that Sharepoint offers.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ideal replacement for conventional physical hard discs is SharePoint. Files can be safely stored in the cloud, increasing security and reducing the possibility of loss. Following a significant cyberattack on our business in 2017, we have adopted this across our whole organisation. It is cloud-based and accessible from anywhere. For simple access, it features a dedicated mobile application. It neatly and efficiently arranges files.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It does not have password protection for folders. Also, more integration with non-Microsoft product needed.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It works nicely as a substitute for actual hard discs. It is reachable from any location. Office 365 Suite is a wonderful deal if you use it. However, it requires a separate purchase for gsuite users. It is simple to upload files or folders using drag and drop. The ability to view any modifications made to files, including who changed them and when, is provided by version controls, which is fantastic for collaboration.
