The best document management tool out there
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
One of the best document management tools is Microsoft SharePoint. The interface makes it simple to perform common tasks like storing, retrieving, searching, and controlling who has access to what. As a document archive, it serves our needs well.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Microsoft Sharepoint's greatest strength is its collaborative editing features; numerous users may make changes at once, and everyone can watch the progress in real time, cutting down on review time. Microsoft SharePoint has helped our company with file storage and administration. It's where we keep all of our project files, new hire paperwork, and playbooks.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The only minor flaw is that the cloud storage provided is insufficient for businesses with over 5,000 employees, and the additional fee is relatively exorbitant in comparison to competing platforms.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
In addition to saving time and allowing for simultaneous review, viewing it online also makes it easy to make last-minute edits, which was quite useful.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Enables Productivity
- Unique Features
- Efficient Service

Syncs well with the rest of Office
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
It syncs very well with Word and Excel and works effortlessly with both in Office Online for document collaboration in real time.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to share, store, and collaborate on documents throughout the company. We can set up different Sharepoint pages and allow access to them each individually.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Lacks some organizational features and more advanced informatics. The search function also doesn't always find the documents and folders you need.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you use Excel and Word Online to collaborate on shared documents, Sharepoint does a great job at organizing and allowing for access control on those documents. Works great and simple to use for the most part.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Enables Productivity
- Unique Features
- Reliable
Cons
- Slower Product Innovation
- Vendor Friendly Policies
- Charges for Enhancements

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?
SharePoint offers robust customization options, including the ability to create custom workflows and apps to meet specific business needs. Also SharePoint integrates with other Microsoft tools such as Teams and OneDrive, making it easy for users to access and collaborate on content from within the same platform.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite part or feature is the ability to easily manage access to certain area, pages, sites and documents. Access control is very simple to manager for anyone who has done so in the past.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The worst part about SharePoint is that it can be quite daunting for users who are unfamiliar with its many features. It also has a steep learning curve, which can make it difficult to use if you don't have much experience with similar tools.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend doing some research to make sure it is the right fit for your needs. Make sure you have a clear understanding of how the service works and what features will be beneficial for your organization. Once you understand these things, consider also researching some alternative solutions that may offer similar features but with less complexity or cost.
