What differentiates IBM Power Systems from other similar products?
IBM uses its own power CPU's which are optimized for parallel processing and high throughput. This makes them especially strong for databases, AI/ML workloads and large transactional systems.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It's reassuring to run critical applications on a platform that's designed to stay up and stable even when it's handing massive databases or transaction volumes.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike most that can feel restrictive because there are fewer tools and libraries compared to x86 systems and it's harder to find people with hands on experience in this environment.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
This platform really shines for large, mission critical workloads like crore banking systems, ERP or big database. If your application demand high reliability and consistent performance, power system can be a great fit.
