centralized space to document and collaborate
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?
Unlike alternatives such as Notion or Google Docs, Confluence is more oriented towards enterprise and structured use. While Notion offers more visual flexibility, Confluence excels in managing large projects and distributed teams, where traceability, permission control and integration with task management systems are key.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
We can centralize all documentation in one place. In my team, I always had problems finding information: manuals, processes or project notes were scattered among emails and files. With Confluence, everything is organized in spaces and pages that can be edited collaboratively in real time. In addition, the integration with other Atlassian tools such as Jira is excellent, allowing you to connect tasks with documentation effortlessly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
the learning curve can be a bit steep for those unfamiliar with this type of platform. It is not always intuitive to find more advanced features and, in small teams, it can feel more complex than necessary. Also the customization of the page layout is somewhat limited compared to more modern documentation tools.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It's a critical tool for keeping the entire team aligned and with quick access to the information they need. It's not the prettiest or simplest platform, but when it comes to scaling projects and ensuring documentation is always up to date and accessible, it more than delivers. I would recommend it especially for organizations that already work with Atlassian and require a solid, collaborative knowledge base.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
