This is a comprehensive policy governing military/reservist leaves of absence for reserve personnel and/or any employees who are covered under the relevant governing legislation. (For example, in the U.S., legislation covers any person who performs service in the Uniformed Services.) Reservists are protected from discrimination in employment and from having their reservist status negatively affect their:

  • Hiring
  • Promotion
  • Benefits

Employers cannot keep employees from attending training, drills, or any other related military duty if they are called to do so.
