Never going back to Slack!

What differentiates Zulip from other similar products?
Simple and just works. No quirky broken features like most Matrix clients, no feature and mental overload like in Slack. Nice granularity of control.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Organizing topics under channels is great.
What do you dislike most about this product?
1. Inability to archive topics leads to infinitely growing list under each channel, that is crazy. 2. Search is quite basic on mobile
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Give the desktop web UI a try! It seems overwhelming at first but it's actually quite manageable and you get used to it. We've used Element (Matrix client, total disaster of a product), Slack (expensive and overloaded), Rocket (lame), Telegram (insecure), Google Chat (we want a separate channel and it's not sufficiently useful), Signal (no way to organize anything)
Pros
- Reliable
- Generous Negotitation
- Over Delivered
- Friendly Negotiation

Perfect product for my team
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Zulip from other similar products?
1) The straightforward and hierarchical ability to organize messages within the organization. Easy division into channels and sub-division of those channels into topics makes for a much more user-friendly experience -- it's obvious to find the information you need and stay on top of messages that are relevant to you. 2) The ability to write easily in Markdown, Python, etc. makes for easy presentation of important information. 3) The academic discount is a gamechanger for my team, personally.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Division of channels into topics
What do you dislike most about this product?
Occasionally, uploading large files can be slightly buggy, but this is a pretty rare circumstance.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Give it a try!
