What differentiates Wondershare Filmora from other similar products?
Most video editing software I've encountered falls into two categories: simple and easy to use, but minimal features....or lots of features, but complex and needs a lot of training to use. Filmora somehow manages to be the best of both worlds---it has so much power and so many capabilities, but it's very user-friendly and fairly simple to use. Anything you AREN'T sure about, you can learn from their tutorial videos that are so well done, they make anything seem possible.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The fact that it can do so many of the cool, complex things that Adobe Premiere does....but in a MUCH simpler fashion. I don't have to hunt through a million different menus and features. Everything is so much more accessible, better set up, and easier to understand. And for the facets that you don't understand, there are lots of tutorial videos available, which I greatly appreciate. Filmora is great for both beginners, and long-time editors.
What do you dislike most about this product?
So many great features are locked away behind a paywall. I already purchased the software, I would need to pay a monthly subscription to use a lot of the transitions, sound effects, music, filters, etc. I get that is how most software programs do business these days, but I find it disappointing that Filmora does the same stuff everyone else does. I'd rather pay a higher price for the software, and actually being able to use ALL of it.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Be aware that a lot of the cool features you see in the software are NOT part of the package when you buy it. Even still, the price is reasonable for what you do get, and the software is still plenty powerful with a lot of great options.
