What differentiates Symantec Endpoint Security from other similar products?
The possibility for building distributed infrastructure makes it straightforward to secure purchasers during a globally distributed environment. The scanning on the clients is well optimized and it’s hardly noticeable from performance aspect. Quick response to 0-day attacks by Symantec. The power to configure application execution prevention that may ban installers from beginning if they’re not in a default container. There’s minimum detection of false positives.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
SEP is extremely straightforward to install, however at constant time the interface is just too sensible to be used by a client and partner. Its blocking new and unknown threats all right and that are usually lost by different endpoint Solutions. Using it widely in our customer base and when a Symantec Partner in our Internal IT to show the employment cases to customers. Glorious Product. Policy management could use some work, but given the class of software system it covers the fundamentals and then some. Email notifications are a requirement on behalf of me and this software does it well.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Frequent version update irritates plenty. If you’ve got an additional significant number of shoppers, it’s difficult to upgrade the clients frequently, and non of the purchasers can agree to the same. Everybody may be having a lot of internal approval processes for upgrades.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is typically best to go with the could-based solution, particularly in these days of performing from home. That creates it easier to administrate endpoints remotely.
