What differentiates Square for Restaurants from other similar products?

Square for Restaurants is POS software for full-service, quick-service, bars, and cafes of all sizes. It works with all smart devices and uses cloud features, which means your data is stored on Square's servers and transferred to your device via the cloud. It can be used with or without an Internet connection, and its payment system is straightforward, dependable, and secure.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Free version with the basics to get started, extremely easy to use and learn, designed specifically for the restaurant industry, with integrated payment processing that accepts all major credit cards, flat payment processing fees, and the most important section of extremely diverse and well-sorted menus.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There are no issues that come to mind; I anticipate that new features will be added as more restaurants migrate to a digital menu and payment process.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The following are the primary benefits we've discovered: Payment processing is extremely simple; there are a variety of payment options; customer service is extremely helpful and genuinely interested in assisting your company's success; and, most importantly, we never have to think about it; it just works.

What differs is the quick solution you have to receive credit and debit payments in person connected online. claims that you can register on their website in as little as five minutes and start using your account right away. Once you've signed up, you can contact square toll free from 9 a.m. at 9 p.m. Eastern Time Monday through Friday or between 11 a.m. M. And 7 p.m. M. on the weekends. Elavon, which is square's partner bank, also offers 24-hour phone support. And if you get stuck or just want to learn how to use account features, there is an online knowledge base with answers to common questions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Some other companies in our ranking offer rates that may be lower, but require you to pay a monthly fee. Depending on the details of your company's normal monthly credit card transaction volume, this may or may not be a better deal than signing up with this platform. Some also offer free credit card readers when you sign up for an account. You can also set up a free online store that is fully hosted for you and can receive payments from your customers.

What differentiates Square for Restaurants from other similar products?

For those who do not work or have errors after having placed the apis correctly, they should only enable the billing fields, since the plugin needs several to work correctly and if you have a plugin that hides or simplifies the payment page you will not be able to complete The subscription. Achieve that the plugin will work, however, being a free plugin it is not supported and you must look for the configuration and support on your own. Excellent app I have been using it for a long time and no problem is generating profits.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It can seduce you with its low commissions but it has a big problem that made us lose a lot of money and customers in our virtual store ... Once a user makes a purchase, it is not credited until the people of Square feel like calling the user to question him to verify and prove the purchase, this call can take hours. Online purchases are emotional and if hours after the transaction is made they call you for an interrogation, it represents a big problem! Unlike other gateways such as Payu or Mercado Pago that the accreditation of transactions is immediate. I don't recommend Square at all!

What do you dislike most about this product?

in my case it was a missing field at checkout. Square requests document type and document number. check the plugins that you have active, if the configuration of the Checkout Field Editor plugin is wrong, you get that error

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Everything is fine until you have the first problem. I lost access because my password supposedly expired due to lack of use, with a green reputation and being a leading market. When you lose access to the free market, you lose access to your money, which should be illegal. When you try to contact them, there is agony if you cannot enter the application, much less contact them, because the contact is from within.
