What is Selenium?
Selenium automates browsers. That's it! What you do with that power is entirely up to you. Primarily it is for automating web applications for testing purposes, but is certainly not limited to just that. Boring web-based administration tasks can (and should) also be automated as well.

What differentiates Selenium from other similar products?
The ease of use and the efficiency of the product along with the reliability and robustness of the application sets selenium in a class apart from it's competitors. Web automation for me has become synonymous with Selenium. The web driver provides a solid API to work with and automate the browser.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The selenium web driver is one of my favorite features of Selenium. It provides a really good API to programmatically control the browser. The docs are good and readable plus there's also tons of community support available for it, since Selenium Web driver is the popular choice for programmatically controlling the browser.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The fact that it is a little memory extensive, and is costly to run on the server for automating tasks. It's hard to use in production, for that purpose we look into using an API.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The product is really nice and works quite robustly, I would like to suggest someone considering this product to read the docs and don't be hesitant to contact the community surrounding selenium since it's really popular.
