Compared to other big data platforms, that seamless scaling with minimal human intervention is a serious advantage

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We’ve got various teams using different cloud infrastructures, it’s been super convenient to run our analyses across these environments without worrying about data transfer bottlenecks or compatibility issues.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Right now, it’s not easy to pinpoint which specific jobs or clusters are burning through your budget.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take caution on budgeting—without close attention, costs can creep up faster than you’d expect.

What differentiates Qubole Data Platform from other similar products?

Qubole is providing many services more than databricks like giving apache spark, prestodb , notebooks whereas databricks only gives solutions around apache spark So in this case Qubole becomes more suitable for a company which wants to have multiple compute engines in their system

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The qubole notebook is very well created and gives amazing functionality to run spark sql , spark scala code. And using qubole itself we are able to manage the cluster resources

What do you dislike most about this product?

I feel that the license cost should be lower in qubole because bigger data lake warehouse systems like databricks provide similar cost with complete features for unified analytics

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are part of a big data team where you need to have multiple compute engines like apache spark , trino/prestodb , notebook for data science, sql then in this case using qubole is the right choice. It also gives many tools , api for scheduling the notebooks as jobs which is a life saver for big data workloads
