What differentiates Qualys VMDR from other similar products?

‎The platform is positioned as an end-to-end, cloud-native platform. It differs from competitors by unifying the entire vulnerability lifecycle and employing a deep risk model. It is unique in offering integrated Patch Management within the same workflow. It also allows security teams to discover and deploy patches directly without relying on a separate IT Operations tool.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

‎I appreciate how it simplifies vulnerability management. I find the dashboards customizable enough for different audiences. It helps in meeting compliance requirements more efficiently. The reporting tools help me communicate risks clearly to management teams.

What do you dislike most about this product?

‎I haven’t found any aspect to dislike about it, but rather I highly praise it for its comprehensive coverage across hybrid IT environments and its integrated approach to prioritization and remediation.‎

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

‎Qualys VMDR is a premium, comprehensive solution. To maximize its value and avoid common pitfalls, define your true risk tolerance. Before purchasing, clearly articulate your work’s risk. This will be the foundation for customizing and leveraging its engine effectively.
