Build Better APIs with Postman, Gradually
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Postman from other similar products?
My perspective few things about Postman are:- • Firstly, collaboration id built in not bolted on there many tools that teel single user or script heavy and Postman makes it easy for teams to share environment, collection and tests. • Second thing it's is strike really nice balance between ease of use depth but you can spin up s request in seconds with a clean UL .
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect that I really appreciate because how quickly I can go from what does this endpoint even do to actually testing it , tweaking parameters and validating responses all in one place.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike about Postman that is start to feel a bit heavy and cluttered as your usage grows and while the scripting snd automation features ste powerful they can frel slightly fragmented.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
My recommend don't try to use every feature on day one if you considering Postman my advice would be simple go in with a clear idea of how you plan to use it and grow into it gradually. Keep your collections clean and structured from the start because it's much easier to maintain things when they grow if you set name convention and folder structures early on.
Pros
- Trustworthy

The complete command center for API excellence
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Postman from other similar products?
While competitors focus on individual requests, Postman has introduced the API Catalog. In Postman, your tests, documentation, security scans, and production monitoring are all linked to a single system of record. If a developer updates an API spec, the Catalog instantly flags which tests are now out of date. You don’t get this level of cross-lifecycle visibility in minimalist tools.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
One of the most favorite aspects of Postman is the instant transition from Idea to Automated Suite. I love that I can start by just pasting a URL to see a response within five minutes. The tool doesn’t force me to set up a project. The quality of life feature is workspaces. I can fix a request, hit save, and my entire team instantly has the updated version. Postman makes me feel like I have a superpower over APIs. I don't have to be a backend engineer to understand exactly how our system is talking to itself. I just need to look at my Postman sidebar.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I don’t believe there are significant flaws to dislike because Postman has effectively transitioned from a utility app to an AI-native ecosystem that we need.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Postman has moved away from being just a cloud-syncing app to being a local-first developer tool. Use the new Agent Mode. It allows Postman to use your local machine’s resources and network directly.
Pros
- Reliable
- Trustworthy
- Efficient Service
- Inspires Innovation
