What differentiates Oracle EBS Financials from other similar products?

Its brand reputation built over years make it a reliable and trust worthy product. The feature of one in all package differentiate the Oracle E-business suite from other similar products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like the following qualities most in the Oracle E-business suit: 1. Its main focus on core financials helps in the auditing, tax and legal compliance. 2. Licensed fee is based on the module of ERP being installed. Thus each module in the ERP can be installed and priced separately being a customised license. So there is no need to pay higher prices for modules which we do not require. 3. Due to having various built in modules, it serves the need of every department of organisation. Also, it is capable of handling the vast data. 4. There is no need for fresh installation whenever a newer version is available.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What I don’t like much about the Oracle is: 1. It requires a full time dedicated IT resource to support. 2. It need training for new people to manage it's different modules. So effectively difficult for new user to manage. 3. It allows only one feature to be use at one time, using multi-features at the same time is not possible. 4. For small business it is bit costly and may not be a preferable option.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I think one need to consider following: 1. The need for handling complex processes , then Oracle is the best option as it makes life easier 2. The integration requires with other business tool. The Oracle is quite friendly and it easily integrates with other tools while most other products have limited options. 3. Determine the modules which are needed as it will help manage the license cost. 4. Availability of trained resources to handle the EBS or providing training to resource so to take full benefit of it.

What differentiates Oracle EBS Financials from other similar products?

It’s robust feature set which have come along over the years hell build solid delivery for any implementation

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I love the reliability of ebs in what it already has

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its UI is really outdated and oracle has been improving it over the years with introduction of fusion but i think old customers on ebs unwilling to migrate shall also get some sweets

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would love some changes in UI from perspective of a newcomer as it is quite harsh at start
