What differentiates Oracle APEX from other similar products?

Easy to start, that is even person with zero experience in development. Better Integration too.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

You can easily create mobile/web applications that has all the power of current mobile/web development technologies. The best part of it is that it is running on the world's most reliable and efficient relational database management system - Oracle.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Lack is in the version management of the source code in oracle application express. we used to dislike the fact that Oracle application only worked with the Oracle DB, but this has changed recently with the ability to consume web services.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I think it has great value and it actually have the ability to integrate to other Oracle applications easily. We do have other Oracle applications but as of today we are still working on some projects so I cannot say of we are going to integrate APEX with those other applications in the future. One of the great things is that in case of simple access this is a great tool that can spare us a lot of time and money

Getting the test builds to function in practical applications.

Take time to ensure that your test builds are ready to run in a live environment, or risk having to start all over.

What differentiates Oracle APEX from other similar products?

In my opinion what differentiates Oracle Apex is it’s tight integration with Oracle database which allows me to build data-driven web and mobile apps quickly for clients while still using SQL/PLSQL for advanced logic

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It’s deep integration with Oracle DB and also, ease to build web apps and turn them into PWAs(Progressive web apps) with minimal extra effort

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not very scalable or extensible for large or complex enterprise systems and has limited customisation flexibility

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would say make sure to only go this route if you already have or willing to adopt to the oracle database ecosystem and be aware it’s very limited in terms of custom UI/UX
