Love using Monday.com

What differentiates monday.com from other similar products?
I like Monday.com due to the use of color coding and being able to customize any workflow or board. It is intuitive to use and their support resources are vast. I'm always able to reach out to a human for support and they solve my issue quickly. You also have the option to add in different extensions to improve your workflow, but most come at an extra monthly cost. I like that Monday.com tracks emails and contact information, so everyone on the team can stay up to date. It's a great product for project or task management.

Powerful, flexible and visually engaging.

What differentiates monday.com from other similar products?
Monday.com stands out with its vibrant, user-friendly interface and flexible Work OS that adapts to any team—from marketing to HR. Unlike rigid platforms, it lets users build fully customizable workflows, automate tasks effortlessly, and visualize projects in multiple dynamic views. Its real-time dashboards and robust integrations make collaboration seamless and insights actionable. Whether you're a startup or an enterprise, monday.com scales with your needs, turning everyday work into an efficient, organized, and visually engaging experience.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of monday.com is its powerful yet easy-to-use custom automation feature. It allows teams to streamline repetitive tasks—like status updates, reminders, and task assignments—without writing a single line of code. This not only saves time but also ensures consistency and reduces the risk of human error. Combined with its vibrant interface and flexible board views, monday.com turns what could be a chaotic workflow into an organized, efficient system that practically runs itself. It’s like having an extra team member always on top of things.
What do you dislike most about this product?
What I dislike most about monday.com is that some of its best features—like advanced automations, integrations, and time tracking—are only available on higher-tier plans. This can be limiting for smaller teams or startups on a tight budget. Also, the platform’s flexibility can feel overwhelming at first, especially for users new to project management tools. It takes a bit of a learning curve to unlock its full potential.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're considering monday.com, start by clearly identifying your team's workflow needs—this will help you customize the platform effectively from the start. Take advantage of the free trial to explore its features, especially automations and different view options like Kanban, Gantt, or calendar. Start small with one board or project, then scale gradually as your team gets comfortable. Also, invest time in tutorials or onboarding resources—it’s worth it. Finally, choose a pricing tier that matches your feature needs to avoid surprises later.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product

What differentiates monday.com from other similar products?
The attractive UI, automations, dashboarding, and simple intuitiveness of using the platform for new hires. I've never heard anyone prefer to use another product after using monday.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The breadth of features and customizations. Nothing else comes close. We are possibly having to switch to MS Planner or Project, and we're going to lose a lot of functionality.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The cost!! If their enterprise pricing was lower, they could compete with less expensive options like the Microsoft Suite that's gobbling up market share left and right.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
You have *got* to show the ROI constantly to the expense hawks who are looking to cut tools. This product is a luxury, but it's one that makes your day to day work life so much better. Be sure to persistently log how much time is being saved thanks to Monday... specifically its automations. You cannot replicate it elsewhere.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
Cons
- Vendor's Interest First
- Less Generous
