What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage (Yammer) from other similar products?

Yammer is an enterprise social network that allows you to easily create a suitable space to maintain fluid and bidirectional communication with the entire company. Yammer incorporates network interaction principles very similar to Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin, allows general emissions or publishing news of interest, forums, and discussions, among other things, and has high-level security, and different networking options.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like how simple it is to use; it is a wonderful platform where we can communicate fluidly and in real-time, reveal all of our doubts, ask questions, discuss ideas, and discover resources more easily; I like to use it every day, as it allows us to establish closer ties between all of the organization's staff; Yammer encourages collaboration and natural participation among employees, innovating, discovering new ideas and new creative ways to collaborate.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I think the interface could be improved a little, I think it should be more attractive to capture the attention of its users.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Yammer is a great tool to implement in your company, it is easy to use, and it is an excellent platform to share social and innovative news and collaboration for work teams, it is ideal to create initiatives, segmenting audiences, sharing files, and get feedback, Yammer provides open, dynamic and fluid communication, it will also allow your employees to educate themselves and get out of the routine without leaving their work, I recommend it.

What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage (Yammer) from other similar products?

I like that it is easy to start up niche communities centered around anything from a particular workplace or hobby to in-depth discussions of one's life path. I like that people who don't want to take part in the discussions have the option to opt out of them, and that they may choose which communities to receive updates from through email. If you want to feel comfortable sharing more personal details about yourself with your coworkers, Yammer is the place to do it.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I can't seem to come across a full directory of Yammer groups that would help new employees decide where they best fit in the company. Although it seems to have low utilization, this could be because I don't identify any of the people (even if there are more) because I working for such a huge organization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Using Yammer and other similar platforms as internal communication tools is an idea I strongly oppose. It seems like no one cares to use it, hence no one is interested in reading what others have posted.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

In the same way that social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter facilitate communication and collaboration among friends and family, Yammer does the same thing among coworkers. Simply said, it's a network for sharing information and interacting among employees of the same company. I use it at work to share company-related content and communicate with coworkers on a more personal level.

What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage (Yammer) from other similar products?

Some differences Ive noticed is: Integration with Office 365 Yammer is built on Microsoft's secure and compliant cloud platform Its available on mobile devices It also provides the ability to create polls, surveys and Q&A

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The integration with O365 is probably the best part of it all. Also the ability to facilitate collaboration and communication among teams.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Yammer has a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it things will move much smoother. Getting all employees to use Yammer can be a challenge, especially if they are not accustomed to using social networking platforms for work-related activities.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Start small and gradually increase the use of Yammer. It's often easier to get employees to adopt the platform if they are introduced to it gradually. Make sure that employees are aware of what's going on in their groups and that they are encouraged to participate in conversations and share their knowledge.
