What stands out Microsoft Purview is the Unified Data Governance providing a single platform for managing and accessing data across multiple environments like on-premises, multi-cloud, and SaaS environments. Other solutions usually require separate tools for different environments.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favourite is being able to manage data across on-premises, multi-cloud, SaaS environments from a single platform

What do you dislike most about this product?

False positives that are generated when sensitive information types are created. Also ambiguity in setting up labels, e.g., sensitive information labels.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would advise the individual to clearly define the data governance goals, plan for integration very well, and finally evaluate the total cost of ownership
