What differentiates Microsoft Azure Site Recovery from other similar products?
The best-to-best solution that I deployed and used as a DR solution was Azure Site Recovery (ASR). To enable your DR solution for your business applications, ASR offers a number of options. Azure RTO is really quick, and it includes a number of options and internal integration that make managing the infrastructure simple. We also employed a backup and disaster recovery service.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
ASR is very simple to test and utilize. It is initially set up simply for region-to-region failover, but you can easily customize it for each virtual machine to suit your needs. Compared to many other goods, it is considerably simpler and easier to use. It is easy to deploy and operate, and by running on numerous virtual machines, it minimizes recovery concerns.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Although I enjoyed the services offered by Azure Site Recovery, there are some drawbacks to consider before purchasing ASR. For example, we must have the necessary skills to use this service; in other words, we must know who to contact. Additionally, it requires a strong network to synchronize the services.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It was initially offered in Azure as a backup location to protect against calamities. You may swiftly recover from problems by continually duplicating servers and VMs at the primary site to servers at the backup location in the case of failure. Site recovery service and backup service are the two services that Azure Site Recovery currently provides.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity

The Azure Site Recovery, where restoration plans are saved, makes it easy to generate them. The strategies can be as basic or as complex as your business goals require, with pauses for manual input and the implementation of customized Windows PowerShell scripts. Azure Site Recovery keeps up the security that ensures the safety of your business.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With Azure recovering data, you can easily build a sophisticated data infrastructure that retains safety at all times allowing you to work with numerous connections between various services without worrying about the data being fragile at any point. As a result, there is no possibility for data to be impacted by any kind of malware or outside software that is not authorized by the firm or connected to it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Since the start of our encounter with Azure data Recovery, we've had no issues. The only drawback is that it does not provide the protection of virtual machines whose discs are Docker since it sees this as an incorrect circumstance.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For businesses wishing to safeguard basic workloads running on VMware or Hyper-V, Azure Site Recovery is a fantastic option. It supports both Windows and Linux computers, whether they are present physically or not. It looks extremely good. Compared to many other goods, it is considerably simpler and easier to use.

Azure RTO is really quick, and it includes a number of options and internal integration that make managing the infrastructure simple. We also employed a backup and disaster recovery service.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With lightning-fast efficiency, Azure Site Recovery builds copies of virtual machines that are utilized in other parts of the business and adds all the data to the active physical servers. As a result, the data cannot be changed by outside parties, and since it is so secure, many database systems can be examined.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Although AWS EC2 is supported as the primary location, it only works one way, making failback impossible. It is helpful for moving away from AWS but not for boosting resilience. Failure to return from Azure can consume a lot of outbound traffic and raise your monthly Azure charges. Due to the complexity of the VMWare arrangement, extra servers must be deployed locally.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
With Azure Site Recovery, you can set your production practices to fail over to a different site using a fail step-over strategy, keeping your business operational. The description claims that the solution can be utilized with both physical servers and virtual machines from VMware and AWS, which is also fantastic.
