What differentiates Matomo from other similar products?

Matomo offers similar functionality to popular commercial analytics tools like Google Analytics but with an emphasis on data privacy and security.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Website Tracking: Matomo provides JavaScript tracking code that can be added to websites to collect data on visitor activity, including page views, referrers, search keywords, and more.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing to dislike but it is less popular than Google' tool

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would like to highly recommend people and business owner to use it.

What differentiates Matomo from other similar products?

Google Analytics. Switched because unlike Google Analytics in Matomo you own all the data that is collected from your webpage and it's not shared with any third party.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Matomo is open source and self-hosted. It's easy to install and manage this program. It has nearly any advanced feature that you would need from an analytics platform. The best part is that you're in control of your data and privacy.

What do you dislike most about this product?

We face some problems with the geolocation plugin from time to time but that's about it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Matomo helps us monitor the user traffic of our website and allows us to understand their navigation pattern. This in turn results in us being able to come up with new ways to draw their attention. I recommend Matomo to anyone who values their privacy and is willing to pay a bit extra for it.
