My experience has been largely positive. The only challenge is that some of the more advanced features can require a bit of time and experience to fully understand. once configured the platform runs very smoothly

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The best feature that I like about the GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer software is the automation feature. It has helped us automate our repetitive processes such as sending files, encrypting/decrypting, among others by creating workflow templates. This has saved us a lot of time, reduced mistakes, and made our processes more reliable.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One of the major cons of this software is that its graphical user interface is not as advanced as other business software applications. Despite the fact that the efficiency of the program is very high, newbies will have to spend some time learning how to work with its workflow designer and resource management capabilities as well as various complex settings. Also, some errors can be quite hard for non-technical people to understand.

With GoAnywhere most of that became easier to track from one place, I also liked that it handled different protocols and both cloud and on prem environments without needing extra tools for every little thing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The automation side of it. Once a workflow is set up properly it mostly just runs in the background and people stop thinking about it. That might not sound exciting but it saves a lot of time compared to manually moving files around or checking whether transfers completed successfully every day.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One downside is the learning curve in the beginning. Simple file transfers are not too hard to set up but once workflows start getting larger with multiple conditions and dependencies it can take some time to understand how everything fits together. The UI also feels a bit dated in a few areas and there were moments where finding a specific setting took longer than I expected.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Spend some time planning your workflows before building everything. It is easy to keep adding jobs and automations over time and things can get messy if naming conventions and folder structures are not thought through early. Also make use of monitoring and alerting from the start because it saves a lot of troubleshooting later when transfers fail or dependencies change unexpectedly.
