Speeds Up System Architecture Planning.

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates FigJam from other similar products?

We're spread across different time zones at Ford, so getting everyone in a room isn't possible. FigJam gives us a shared board for sprint planning and retros. People drop in a sync, leave sticky notes, and we vote on priorities without scheduling another call. It's helped us move faster on software decisions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

What I like is how easy it is to just jump in. The FigJam link is huge for us, I can grab UI assets or system diagrams with ease. I use FigJam mostly for mapping out system architecture and brainstorming with the design team. The integration with FigJam is the main reason we went with it as copying components over is just two clicks. It's fast enough that I don't get annoyed waiting for things to load, which matters when you're in back-to-back meetings.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The templates feel a bit barebones. Miro has way more options and they look nicer too. For engineering operations like state diagrams or flowcharts, I end up building from scratch most of the time.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If your team already uses FigJam then just get it, the integration alone makes it worth it. But if your mostly doing heavy diagramming or need fancy templates maybe try Miro first. For us the integration won out. Just don't expect it to replace dedicated diagram tools. It's a whiteboard not a full spec tool.

‎Flexible white-boarding platform

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates FigJam from other similar products?

‎FigJam lets us brainstorm, map processes, add notes, vote on ideas, and organize concepts within the same workspace. Its templates and integrations also make it suitable for different types of meetings and creative sessions rather than limiting the board to basic drawing and annotation.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The way several people are able to contribute to the same board without interrupting each other’s work is one of the best aspects so far. Along with this, sticky notes, shapes, connectors, reactions, and templates make brainstorming feel active and organized. I also like how quickly ideas can be moved around as discussions develop. The collaborative environment works particularly well when a team needs to turn scattered thoughts into a visual plan.

What do you dislike most about this product?

‎Finding specific objects or keeping everything organized may take some additional effort on larger canvases.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

‎FigJam is worth considering if your team regularly conducts brainstorming sessions, planning meetings, or interactive workshops. I would suggest trying different templates first and seeing which ones fit your working style. Teams that need live collaboration, flexible visual organization, and useful integrations are likely to get the most from the platform.

Best for Mapping Data Privacy Workflows.

Likeliness to Recommend

7 /10

What differentiates FigJam from other similar products?

FigJam provides a super lightweight and easy-to-use canvas to connect legal with design teams. It comes with native Figma integration, which lets you visualize privacy by design in your product throughout the development process without requiring a steep learning curve. This unrivaled simplicity helps in real-time stakeholder alignment on complex data flows.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Especially love the prebuilt templates and diagramming tools for mapping data inventory and user consent flows. As a privacy consultant, it is essential that you are able to visualize the flow of personally identifiable information (PII) through your system. It is easy to drag and drop and connect these processes in FigJam, so that technical and non-technical stakeholders can see privacy risks right away.

What do you dislike most about this product?

FigJam does not offer granular enterprise-grade access controls or data residency capabilities natively today. In the case of mapping sensitive compliance frameworks, it is imperative to regulate which board sections are visible or exportable. When working on large, enterprise level data mapping blueprints, the platform also becomes a bit cluttered and slow.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Migrate to Enterprise to unlock critical advanced security features and administrative controls. Set very strict rules about never pasting live sensitive data, or actual PII onto the boards before using it for client work! View it as a mapping tool more than a secure storage mechanisms for data.
