Using the Check-In and Check-Out along with the versioning of documents.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Workflows can be cumbersome and very complex to develop and may require professional service help.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Attend the training that offered and use Professional Services to help develop projects.

What differentiates Document Locator from other similar products?
Speed of search, integration with common Windows apps, breadth of features at reasonable costs, unparalleled support staff.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The team at Columbiasoft - by far. But second favorite is the integration and context menus.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The relative complexities of installation and configuration on Day 1. Support team is great and gets you through quickly, but it's not a self-serve product initially.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Start with Day Zero implementation instead of waiting to bring in the backlog of documents. Use it, understand it, THEN pull in the old paper.
