What differentiates DigitalOcean from other similar products?
Google Cloud. Aside from location options Droplets is better at nearly everything. It is easier to use and a lot cheaper.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It is the cheapest of all server hosting solutions. You can monitor the usage traffic of the server therefore, billing is very transparent. It is very easy to set up. Powering the server on and off is a very quick process and it has no negative effects on the server. Operating systems for virtual machines have different costs and you can choose to use Windows, Linux etc. based on how much you want to spend.
What do you dislike most about this product?
You can’t create more than 10 droplets in free version even if you had credits. There is no live support chat. Location options are limited, for example Google Cloud has more location options.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
We use Droplets to host servers and use virtual machines in order to test the sites and applications that we are building. Saves us a lot of time and money as we don’t need to use any third party for testing.

DigitalOcean offer cloud services at a relatively lower price point than its competitors with nearly the same amount of features
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The tools and APIs are developer friendly and offer great flexibility. The implementation process is easy and upgrades can be done on the fly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Support documentation needs to be updated more frequently whenever a newer version comes

A cheaper cloud platform to use with all the features required for the developers
