What differentiates DigitalOcean from other similar products?

Digital Ocean is all about docker containers and scaling applications with ease, also they have a more upfront pricing model... so you can expect what to pay before you sign up

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like the flexible model they have when scaling up a service or application, I also like how they have a marketplace of applications which can be integrated easily.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dislike Digital Ocean's support teams turnaround times. They take a significant amount of time to react and respond to support tickets.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I'd advise first containerizing your application and/or script before even considering which vendor to go with. Then, run it locally or on your current provider but be sure to monitor asset and resource utilization over a period of time. This will be a good estimate and indicator of the predicted usage of the app... Now, you can compare prices based on that data.
