What differentiates Cybereason XDR Platform from other similar products?

Its take on XDR (Extended Detection and Response) is what really distinguishes Cybereason. It brings in data from multiple sources (endpoints, servers, networks etc.) into a single view. We are able to unify and identify threat patterns that evaded us. Here, the other big plus is that the information is well and cleanly displayed and alerts become a lot more understandable to even people not cybersecurity experts.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

When I was asked what I enjoy most about the platform, that’s definitely the user friendly interface of the platform. Cybereason is still so complex regarding cybersecurity, but it has put in some effort to provide a look that makes it relatively easy to navigate and access crucial info within a few clicks. They have been great with customer support as well, always available to help and resolve as issue as it arises.

What do you dislike most about this product?

However, not everything is perfect. Adapting from the very beginning has been an area that I’ve had a great deal of frustration with. With that said, the platform is easy to use save for some of its more advanced features, which you’ll have to get used to. This can be a challenge for those new to the field. However, you overcome this learning curve, the experience itself becomes much smoother.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

However, I would highly recommend Cybereason XDR Platform over this minor downside. It has the ability to detect and respond to threats in real time as well as its ease of use and customer support makes it a winner choice for any organization willing to improve their security posture.

What differentiates Cybereason XDR Platform from other similar products?

Ease of administration and deployment and light weight sensor. It lacks many features when compared to EDR's like Crowdstrike and Defender for endpoint but gets the job done. New features are getting added with each version upgrade and tool is getting better. Quality of knowledge base articles and trainings provided by Cybereason is by far the best I have seen in any EDR tools.IT deployment and administration is easy but alert investigation is tricky for analysts. Alert investigation page is clunky and navigating the alert and triaging can get confusing. Customer support is okay.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ease of administration. Trainings and kb articles in Nest portal( Cybereason vendor portal). sensor management, IOC management.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Alert investigation page. Console has a lot of bugs and vendor usually doesn't address these bugs quickly. We have to till next stable version release. Lack of machine timeline from sensor page(It is only accessible from alert page and we can only view timeline of a machine with active alert)

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

.If you want a simple EDR solution that gets the job done go for it. If you need more features and improved detection capabilities go for other solutions like Defender for endpoint and Crowdstrike. I cant comment on the price as I am not aware of the exact pricing models for these EDR solutions.
