What differentiates Cody AI from other similar products?
Sourcegraph is already the best tool for searching and navigating code. Cody is built on top of that, so it has amazing code intelligence. It knows where every function is defined and where it is used. This is so much more powerful than a simple text search. It understands the structure of the code.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love that i can just click on a function name and instantly see its definition or all its references. It helps me to build a mental map of the codebase very quickly. It makes exploring a new project feel like surfing the web with hyperlinks. It is a very intuitive and powerful way to understand code.
What do you dislike most about this product?
You need to have a sourcegraph instance set up for your code, which can be a bit of work.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For navigating and understanding large and complex codebases, the combination of cody and sourcegraph is unbeatable.

What differentiates Cody AI from other similar products?
I have used many autocomplete tools, but cody's is on another level. Because it has the context of my whole project, the suggestions it gives are incredibly smart. It can complete entire functions with variables and logic that are specific to my project. It feels like it is reading my mind.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love when it suggests a piece of code that i was just about to write. It speeds up my work so much and reduces the number of stupid typos i make. It is especially good with boilerplate code. It writes all the boring stuff for me so i can focus on the hard problems. It makes coding feel less like work.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Sometimes the suggestions can be too long and cover up the code i am trying to read.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you want the smartest and most context-aware autocomplete, you have to try cody. It's amazing.
