A great low code platform with MDH capabilities

What differentiates Boomi from other similar products?

For us, we wanted the Master data hub along with developing integration code, with Boomi we can develop the code as well as drop records in the MDH models depending on our requirements. It has easy to use, drag and drop interface . Depending on your requirement you can host the Runtime (atom / molecule) locally or on cloud, MCS option is also available. Multiple team members can work simultaneously making collaboration between different people effortless.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favourite aspect of this product is it's administrative control, It has Single sign on feature which works great with Azure, it also has change history sort of feature, where one can analyse who has made what changes in which component, which makes it really easy for auditing.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Boomi still does not support provisioning, meaning you have to create users both in Boomi and cloud platform, even if you want to use single sign on feature. It would be really nice if Boomi manages to create / transition users directly from the cloud platform, rather than the current , manual effort which is required.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Make sure that you factor in the license and connector costs as, for some components / features you would require new connector, which will definitely spike up the monthly cost.

What differentiates Boomi from other similar products?

I believe having MDM integrated within Boomi's integration platform makes it stand out among other platforms. Other than that, on-premises deployment, automatic updates, and boosting of digital transformation initiatives are also noteworthy.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that it has simplified the connection of apps, systems, and data sources, and enabled us to unify data, improve data quality, and boost digital transformation.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The UI gets cluttered as the number of integrations increases therefore, folder structures and project organizations become difficult to maintain.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be ready to face some complexities in the UI, as the number of integrations grows, but other than that, it is indeed a great cloud-based platform for boosting your digital transformation initiatives.
