What differentiates Basecamp from other similar products?

I've looked at many Project Management Solutions. The goal for our organization was to get out of the terrible cycle of planning projects and events with long email threads. Basecamp proved to be the easiest for us to implement and use.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The App and simplicity. It's simple to add our staff to their specific projects. We also have a general HQ where we post important documents and info they need to know.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I wish there was a global view of all projects or at least I wish it looked a little better. I wish there were easier updates with tasks like "percentage complete."

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I love it. It is not as intimidating as SLACK and other project management solutions.

What differentiates Basecamp from other similar products?

For the project management of our SME we decided to rely on the support of Basecamp, which has benefited us in a slightly surprising way due to the functions it occupies, its stability, and ease of use to distribute and generate new tasks among our workers, achieving effective communication and greatly accelerating the development of our projects both in the short and long term and all in the same place.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The management of tasks becomes quite fluid, with a couple of clicks we can enter the information of our requests and we just have to wait for them to be evaluated and answered. It allows us to know the time of entry of users providing control over the hours billed in the company. The visibility of the projects is general, allowing other users to contribute ideas or verify failures that may influence the future of the organization.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is a lack of a function where it is possible to create projects between departments, since at the moment it is only possible to submit one-person projects. It is difficult to identify the level of priority or urgency of some tasks, having to resort to other communication methods to report. Configuring the tool is a bit problematic at the beginning, it is missing the ability to add users in bulk and not one by one.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Basecamp is a platform that has little room for improvement as it works optimally for each of the tasks to be fulfilled, has a fairly ergonomic interface very easy to familiarize users. It would be interesting to be able to observe which workers are within the tool in real time and thus be able to observe their evolution within the assigned tasks. The option to pair e-mail with the tool is urgently needed.

Project management is usually done in our company from Basecamp, an excellent tool that allows us to be aware day by day on how processes are being managed and executed in the company, its internal messaging system and performance graphs that allow managers to keep abreast of everything that is happening at all times in the company. An innovative solution that we are very satisfied with.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Inter-company communication is very important for the management of projects and with Basecamp this is greatly facilitated, since it has a wide variety of options to keep teams aware of the progress of tasks. Because it is centralized, all workers with permissions can collaborate with ideas on pending tasks and mark their progress. Project visibility is across the board, giving a clearer perspective of what is required.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It would be interesting to have an option to put projects for specific workgroups, as sometimes confidential information is handled for companies and clients that can get lost along the way. Sometimes we would like to have more flexibility in the software to better adapt to our projects.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend Basecamp to any type of company because of the high productivity it brings to all the companies where it has been installed becoming the day to day of these, its cost may seem a little high, but all the features it has make it worth every penny. The customer service is quite good and they are always online to solve each of our problems.
