What differentiates AWS Shield from other similar products?
Packet Inspection is very good in aws shield pro feature which is not given by default , it comes with cost post-mortem analysis of Bot attack from AWS IP Address quarrantine - basically blocks the large number of requests coming from various set of IP's

Use shield Pro - For l7/L4 monitoring for DDOS
What do you dislike most about this product?
Little bit of extra cost is added if you want to use more advanced features

Go through The docs and check the tutorials to get started and learn SDK to automate stuff
