What differentiates AWS Glue from other similar products?
AWS Glue has many key features that differentiate it from other similar products in the market. And a few of the features which I like the most from others is as follows: 1. Serverless architecture: AWS Glue operates on the serverless architecture, this means you do not have to scale your resources up or down depending on the workload, AWS does it for you automatically. 2. Automation of ETL: AWS Glue contains a library that helps us to generate ETL code automatically, which in turn reduces the manual work done by the user. 3. Integration with other AWS resources; AWS Glue can be easily integrated with other AWS resources.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of AWS Glue is data integration which can be performed with minimal effort from the user, this is possible because of the breadth of the features that are provided by AWS Glue. I highly work with the Data catalog feature that is used for data integration, it acts as a centralized repository for organizing and storing the metadata. AWS Glue makes my job less manual and also less error-prone.
What do you dislike most about this product?
As AWS Glue comes with a serverless architecture, the users have very limited control over the infrastructure, so it restricts them from doing any customizations. Along with this, currently, it only supports Python and Scala programming languages, it would be great if they can support other programming languages as well,
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you are someone who is looking for an ETL tool that comes a with lot of features and great vendor support, AWS Glue is your answer. It satisfies all of your data needs, has good support from the vendor, is very less error-prone, in budget cost, and has good data security.

What differentiates AWS Glue from other similar products?
-> The connection with all the necessary storage services with ease of integration and management makes it unique. -> Crawler is best product which can can crawl the data near real time which is an add on.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With AWS Glue, you only pay for the time that your ETL job takes to run , no upfront, Serverless and Scalable. AWS Glue integrates well with other AWS services and tools, such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, and AWS Lambda which is the best thing because every service is serverless and ease to use.
What do you dislike most about this product?
AWS Glue is a complex service, and it may have a steep learning curve for those who are not familiar with AWS or ETL concepts. AWS Glue is tightly integrated with other AWS services. While this can be advantageous for organizations already using AWS extensively, it may become a limitation for those who prefer or need to use different cloud providers or on-premises infrastructure.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Before jumping to glue one should be clear with data sources which are to be integrated , complexity to transform and extract data using own logic. Familiarize with glue basic concepts to start to additional charges and wastage of time.
