Efficient Data Workflows Start with AWS Glue
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates AWS Glue from other similar products?
AWS Glue is fully serverless which means I don't have to manage any infrastructure, and it scales automatically with your workloads that's save my time. AWS Glue is it's tight intergation with the AWS ecosystem . It's works seamlessly with Amazon S3, Amazon Athena , Amazon Redshirt and other AWS services. That makes building end to end that advantages for me because data pipelines much smoother compared to tools that are more standalone or cloud agnostic .
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
AWS Glue makes buliding and managing data pipelines feel almost effortless that really I appreciate . It's also the automatic data keeps track of tables schemas, and metadata across multiple sources which saves my ton of time and when intergation data from different system that reduce errors.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I honestly say its some of pricing nuances are surprised to me and AWS Glue is incredibly powerful but it feels a bit opaque at times. Sinces it's fully serverless, I don't get direct to the underlying infrastructure which makes troubleshooting performance issue or inderu why a job ran slower than ecpected can be tricky. But it's gives me Brilliant performance which i thankful to AWS Glue.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I recommendation, Start by clearly defining your data pipeline needs and understanding your data sources because Glue is extremely flexible and scalable but that flexibility can be overwhelming of you try to dive in without a plan and I also suggest leveraging Glue's visual ETL tools for smaller workflows while gradually incorporating custom Python or Scala scripts for more complex transformation because that balance helps my teams get value quickly without being bogged down in code from day one. One things my personal experience which I assume that you should keep in mind to pay attention to data cataloging and schema management early.

- Continually Improving Product

Cons
