Good tool for real-device app testing

What differentiates AWS Device Farm from other similar products?
AWS Device Farm is unique because it offers access to many types of real devices on a cloud platform that can test applications under real-world conditions without the need for an actual lab of devices. Its ease of integration with various test platforms and CI/CD tools is also an advantage that easily incorporates it into various test environments, and the presence of detailed logs, screenshots, and videos is useful for fast troubleshooting of problems.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like the ease of being able to test on numerous real devices without having to set up my own physical lab of devices. It is especially helpful to be able to easily target problems based on various operating systems and sizes of screens that would not otherwise be possible without this service by AWS Device Farm.
What do you dislike most about this product?
In AWS Device Farm, the disadvantage is that test execution sometimes takes longer compared to executing the test locally, especially where a number of devices are involved. Also, it can be a problem to navigate large logs, screenshots, and videos for large test suites.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend using AWS Device Farm to teams that have to test their mobile apps on multiple real devices but do not have their own device lab for that purpose. Ensure your test suite is optimized for execution time and that your logs and artifacts are well-organized, particularly if your test suite is quite large. Its usage will make your CI/CD pipelines even more complete.
Pros

What differentiates AWS Device Farm from other similar products?
AWS Device Farm stands out because it lets you test your mobile apps on a huge collection of real devices in the cloud no emulators, no guesswork. You get detailed reports, videos, and logs for each test. Plus, it’s super scalable and integrates well with other AWS services.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love that AWS Device Farm gives access to real physical devices, not just emulators. It feels like you're testing on actual phones from your couch super helpful for catching bugs that only show up on certain brands or OS versions.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The tests can be a bit slow to start, and the cost adds up quickly if you're running many tests. Also, the UI feels kinda old-school like it needs a fresh haircut and new drip.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you're considering AWS Device Farm, start small to gauge the costs and see how it fits your workflow. It’s powerful, but the pricing can escalate fast. Also, make sure to take full advantage of the detailed reports it’ll save you time debugging.
